I run windows xp and I have been getting a windows file protection error
after downloading critical updates. The computer only runs smoothly with
the XP cd in the drive. I have run sfc/scannow and that hasn't fixed
anything. Please help. I have spent hours on the phone the microsoft and
they can't seem to figure things out. thank you
