hi,
sorry for my bad english...
i've installed win xp pro: when i try to create e new dial-up internet
connection running "new connection wizard", at the fourth step i cannot
choose the first two options "dialup connection" and "broadband connection"
but only "always active broadband connection". the first two options are
disabled. what can i do?

i opened services.msc and saw that "auto connection manager..." and
"connection manager" cannot be started, the error message is "access denied"

why? i have logged as administrator!

thanks to everybody

Try this - open your registry (Start - run - regedit), and drill down to the
following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\RasMan\PPP\EAP
Remove keys 25 and 26 (highlight the folder on the left, and delete).

Reboot your computer. You should have all three connection options now.

Post back if this doesn't work.

If editing the Registry manually isn't to your liking, see
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, Line 87, Left Column for a
small VB Script utility that will make the changes for you.
