I originally set up up four user accounts, one for myself,
one for my wife and one for each of the two other members
of my family. I set myself up as the owner. When I log on
to my user account and access the internet my temporary
internet files (accessed via Microsoft Explorer) under
c:\Documents and settings\local settings\temporary
internet files are stored under my wifes local
settings\temporary internet files.
When I enter Windows explorer I note that under
C:\Documents and Settings that there are 6 accounts set
up........All users, Default Users, Owner, My Wife, Family
member 1 and Family member 2. My name appears as a sub
folder to Owner. I can access the owner temp files
(although they are always empty), however when I attempt
to access the folder with my name on it prompts access
denied.
Furthermore all files that I save under my documents
appear in explorer under my wifes user account (i.e
c:\documents and settings\wife\my documents.
Obviously some sort of set up problem - can anyone advise
how I rectify this issue.

To access "your" folder under owner, See Help and Support and search for
"take ownership"

HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP

For the My Documents mis-direction, download and install TweakUI for XP,
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp In the My
Computer, Special Folders section, you can re-direct My Documents to the
location of your choice.
