View Full Version : How do I get rid of that annoying yellow 'information' box?

The little yellow box that pops up beside the mouse pointer whenever it runs
over a menu item, or link is really starting to **** me off. Does anyone
know how to get rid of it, turn the lead time way up, or even what MS call
it? It's got me beat.

Thanks heaps,
Richard

Hi Richard,

You can disable these (they are called "Tooltips"):

1) Open up My Computer.
2) Go to the Tools Menu.
3) Go to Folder Options
4) Select the View Tab
5) In Advanced Settings, uncheck "Show popup descriptions for desktop and
folder
items."

Thanks,

Marc;
That is all well and fine. But it does not work for Outlook Express.
What to do for OE?
Respectfully,
Wes
