windows home freezes on boot

hi i have windows home and now when i try to boot up it
freezes at the last boot before loading into windows. it
tried in safe mode and it freezes as well. tried last
known configuration and that didn't work it still freezes.
no error messages on boot. date and time are set
correctly. any suggestions?

If you have the CD, start it up and use the recovery console to run chkdsk,
then restart.
