This usually happens when you have more than one profile
in windows xp and the login profile from which you are
trying to install the program are not alloted the rights
that of a administrator. what you can do is try to log
into administrator login.
if you do not see either then on the windows xp login
screen press ctrl + alt + del twice and when the login
screen appears enter the username as administrator and
then let the password blank as press enter.
This will let you login as an administator
