My first bit of advice is to stop doing so many installs and
de-installs. If nothing else this will really confuse the computer and
mess things up. Hardly ever -- despite so many people saying to do so
-- is it required to re-install to actually fix problems like this.
As a re-start ... suggest you step back. Hook up all devices and wires.
Then with the instructions provided by your DSL service provider (I
assume they have provided you some) ... start from scratch and re setup
everything.
The key symptom is "diconnected, device missing". See if you can find
out more. What device? Why?
