About 6 months ago i decided to encript a folder that
contained very important information.

About a week ago i decided to format my computer becasue
it was getting to full of spy ware and other junk, i
partitioned my hardrive with partition magic to 500 megs
and put my 50meg encripted folder on the that partition.
I then formated the primary partition and installed a
fresh copy of xp pro. Then i transfered the encripted
folder on my new copy of xp and i can not use or enter
any files that i created. I can see them but when i try
to run them it says access denied.

I have talked to the best of the best on this issue and
noone can understand a way out. I tryed to decrypt the
folder but it gives me an error.

Any information would be very much appricated. I really
need to get into these files

Best Regards
Jeremy

HOW TO: Remove File Encryption in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=3Dkb;EN-US;308993

Without a backup of the original Encryption Certificate Key, encrypted =
files
are unrecoverable as they will stay encrypted forever. There is no =
recovery
method since the encryption algorithm is now completely different with a =
reinstall
of Windows XP.
