deleting programs from xp home

Dear Team, I wish to delete nortons systemworks 2002 from
my computer which runs windows xp home.I have been told
that if i try to delete this program and it fails I will
have to have my computer completely re-configured.Can you
please confirm that this information is either correct or
incorrect.Your assistance in this matter would be greatly
appreciated

Hi,

Why not try to uninstall the program using add/remove
programs from the control panel. if you try to delete the
folder then you will get problems since the virus scanner
is launched at startup and when it is not found it will
start complaining.
