I am running Windows XP Home and have also recently
downloaded and installed Zone Alarm, mainly to deal with
the issue of "outgoing" blocking.

My question is, should I turn off XP's firewall now that I
have Zone Alarm installed? Will it hurt to run both? If
it is, I assume Zone Alarm would be my first choice to
cover both "incoming" as well as "outgoing" blocking.

Would leaving them both on afford another "layer" of
protection and security?

Thanks!

I run both. Detected no associated problems. ICF and ZA complements each
other.
