re-installing xp

Hi,I believe that the copy of xp pro on my computer is
illegal. Anyway, I just purchased a copy of xp pro and I
want to uninstall the bad copy and install the new one.
The only problem is, I like all my settings the way they
are and I have many programs and I don't want to lose
them. Also,I have all my mail saved in Outlook
Express. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Rob
