Incorrect IME for the login screen

Hi

On XP machines which have had the French language support
installed and the English language removed, it still gives
you the English keyboard for the login screen - causing
our French users much confusion...

I'v tried editing the registry key
local_machine\currentcontrolset\control\keyboard from null
to French but this hasn't made any difference.

Can you help?

Well, I would have thought that the thing to do, would be to goto 'Control
Panel' > 'Regional and Language Options' thiere are some concerns with
keyboard thiere.

Yes I have looked here and all the French options are
selected, and the English ones removed, so I don't htink
there is a problem there, but still can't work out where
this is coming from; as I say it is just on this first
password screen that the problem occurs...

any other suggestions?
