Windows Update Failure

WU states I have an error condition 0x800a138f. I tried
Stans fixes on editing the registry and creating keys,
setting them to zero and adding permissions. I get a new
WU screen showing the blaster warnings, but WU aborts
during the scan by zipping to 100% and giving this error.

Scroll down to your problem. 0x800a138f almost to the bottom. Hope
