I've confirmed my system has been infected by this virus.
Problem is, downloaded PATCH to disk, systems GO when
suddenly, error message said unable to verify authenticity
of download, and to make sure CRYPOTGRAPHIC is running.
Q.- understand what this is, but how do I confirm if its
running?
Q2.- What file or area do I look to confirm
This is all that stand between me and kicking this infection
Having problem with deploying the PATCH too
Please Help
Sincerely
Jeff

How To Fix The Cryptographic Service Error
Special thanks to Marc Liron for the following:
Are YOU getting the following error when you try to install Windows XP
Service
Pack 1?
"Service Pack 1 Setup Error:
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptographic service is running on this computer"
Or
YOU are trying to install the Windows XP security patch 823980 - in
response to
the msblast.exe worm and you are getting a similar error message.
