I recently received an e-mail with a psf attachment my
computer opened the e-mail but would not open the psf
document which is a photograpf the reason given by my
computer was could not open because it was not the right
kind of document

Try visiting the following site and determine which program the file is
associated with form the list provided (you will need to scroll to see all
entries);
http://www.filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=psf
After you determine which program is needed, install it or see if the vendor
has a free reader for it.

It appears tha .psf documents are associated with HP Photosmart. Investigate
the HP site for further details.

I did a little more research on the file extension, psf, and found that
changing the extension to JPG AND then opening it with Photoshop V. 6.0 on a
PC will work! (Just opening the PSF file with PhotoShop doesn't do it, you
have to change the extension name first.
