The first thing I would try is switch the keyboard on the
XP machine to see if it has a stuck key or is not
functioning correctly. Try a different keyboard and see
if you can log in. If you think it's a problem with the
password itself, there are a number of password utilities
available to change the password so you can log in.
Passware makes a very good product, but it costs about
$100 I think. A nice free utility that I've had good
luck with is Offline NT Password. It's a linux app that
allows you to boot to a floppy and change the
administrator password. You can find it at
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ I hope this
