Short of putting Messenger Service on manual startup or
altogether disabling, should not Windows XP SP1a and the
Internet Connection Firewall (ICF)stop messenger spam?

Is the reason this is not working for me because I have
AOL as the internet service provider?

Are ICF and AOL simply incompatible? Clicking on Network
and Internet Connections, then right click AOL, then
properties, then advanced, reveals no ICF options.

Greetings Clayton,

I don't believe you can turn on the ICF on the AOL Connection, just because the "connection"
itself is from the AOL software, not from Windows.
