Protection to my own file!!

I would like to protect my some important file in
mircosoft word/excel,so what kind of software can be able
to protect the file by using a password before entering
the file???

Word - Tools, Options, Security - Password to open
Excel - Tools, Options, Security - Password to open
Don't forget the password, or you are screwed.
