Regarding KB 290260, Personal Certificates

We have machines that are runnning Windows XP Professional
in a NT 4 domain. When these users are prompted to change
their password their personal certificates are no longer
valid and have to be re-issued. Is there anyway around
this? Note: these are not local ID's they are domain
logon's and computers are not in a workgroup but added to
the domain.
