Windows Update Admin Only

I am trying to run the windows update for XP. I keep
getting the "can't update unless your the
administrator". I am the admin, I have only one account
and its admin, help

Well then create a user account and stop running as admin. Are you
running with admin rights or is it the local Administrator account? Try
logging on as the local administrator and see what happens then.
