I have 0ne of these worms that has created a "language
bar" with icons (microphone;help file;notepad...)in the
system tray. I've run the worm remove tools from Norton
Anti-Virus. No dice; still there. I've never clicked on
these at anytime. In fact I found a txt file in My Docs'
and Set'gs fldr named "INSTALL.LOG" that mocks "could not
find mmtray so can't kill it!"
I also noticed new subfldrs in windows\progams fldr that
i believe this worm is somehow creating. I've quarantined
all the files and deleted empty subfldrs but the continue
to reappear.
I think the worm is in the register. Does anyone also
have this problem?
I was thinking of reinstalling WinXP: but I don't no if
the register would be reinstalled along with the OS.
Can anyone answer this question?
I'd be interested in dicussing this with someone that has
this problem or a similar one.
