I have been using XP for over a year now. I have been
operating out of a single user account. The
administrator. This was set up for me by a friend. I used
it for over a year like I said and set all my settings
up. I also had to VERY important files on the desktop.
Now I went to create a second user account. However for
some odd reason I had to make a second admin. instead of
a limited account. So I went ahead and did this calling
it default. I never used it. I was also unable to delte
this default account. I leave my computer on all night
and when I woke up this morning and got on it was in the
user login screen. no suprise there. However My origianl
administrator account was gone. Only the default account
was shown. So this isnt a huge problem. I lost hours of
work on setttings but Im not real shaken up. However I am
unable to find my picture folder and music folder that
were on my desktop. These are Extremeley important to me
as they involve my work. Is there some way way I can
recover these. I went and dug through some files and
managed to find one called aministrator. But my acces is
denied to it. Any info on this would be great.

Try using alt-cntrl-del-del and then manually
enter the name and password of the account
you have been using for the past year.
You can control what accounts do and do not
display in the Welcome screen with the TweakUI
application of the XP PowerToys.
