Help,
Windows XP professional, following troubles since 4/24,
1. Cannot sign in MSN, but the dial-up connection is ok.
2. Cannot access hotmail account if using IE, but using
Netscape is fine. Using other computer is fine too.
3. Windows Update does not work either,
saying"incomplete update", etc. I followed MS guide to
change iuctl.dll & iuengine.dll. It did not work either.
Any idea?

Greetings,
First, double-check that your computer's clock has been set properly -- just double-click the
clock in the corner of the screen and verify that the date is correct.
Secondly, remove your Internet Explorer cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click
the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's
complete click the Delete Cookies button. Then, click the Privacy tab and click the
'Default' button. Then, click the Content tab, click Clear SSL State, and click OK.
After all this, try again Hotmail and Messenger again.

Thank you very much for response.
But, it does not work either. I recall that this problem
occured after the "automatic update" installed the latest
security hotfix from Microsoft.
any further idea?

I used XP system restore wizard to restore my XP to the
date one day before I got those stupid bugs, and now
everything is OK, back to normal. I believe those bugs
were coming from one of the latest hotfix from Microsoft.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback -- if you determine exactly which hot fix it was, let me know.
