reverting to windows 98

[Paul]

I recently installed windows XP over windows 98. All
semed fine at first, but I have now realised that several
programs are not working properly. I therefore would like
to reverrt to windows 98 so that i can use/save these
programs before totally formatting my hard drive and
installing XP.

Basically... i just need to know if it is possible to and
how to revert back to windows 98 from XP.
