Both firewalls are down, we can both accept other video
conf but can't w/each other. error msg states that there
is trouble on the other end no matter which one of us
tries to initiate the conference. Anyone else have this?

Try turning off UPnP and put the ports in manually.
Everything you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask:

Right, the person should "turn off" the solution to the potential problem.

Right, that makes sense.....somewhere...

Did you even establish whether the original poster was behind a NAT gateway,
UPnP-enabled or otherwise? Or whether they have a NAT'ed ISP connection?

Blindly throwing out advice (especially nonsensical advice) and URLs isnt a very
useful or helpful activity...

Cogitate,
Hofbrau
