Tried installing new software on D: drive and forgot to
set a restore point. Software installation deleted a
bunch of files. Previous restore points said "No changes
made to the computer". D: drive had "System Volume
Information" folder; subfolder was "_restore{58E)..." and
underneath the subfolder was "RP92,RP99..etc" I tried to
move this entire folder over to c: drive but it said
there was already a folder although using search option
could not find it. Moved file to c: as folder "_restore
{58...) and deleted the one off the D: drive. I went to
another restore point and it loaded it fine, although I
don't think everything thing was restored. Is there any
way to "restore" System Restore or tell if it is working
properly?
