I have two computers with two seperate IP addresses connected through a hub.
Both of the computers are behind a firewalls.
When I establish a video connection between the two one computer shows the
video and the video insert .
The other computer shows the insert but the main video is dark.
It shows that the connection has been established and audio works properly.
If I turn off the camera on the other computer I immediately see a red x
through the camera but when I turn it back on the screen goes black.I can
see the image and insert however on the computer which is sending the
image. I have even turned the firewall off with the same results.
What could be causing this?

Frank, make sure that the services Universal Plug and Play and SSDP
Discovery Services are set to Automatic; go to Administrative Tools,
Services. SSDP is possibly disabled on the computer that has only the
inset: it can't recognize the camera from the other computer.
