I recently got a new computer with Windows XP and set up
my husband and myself as users. Whenever one of us is
logged on and we try to use the switch users to get to
the other person, the system crashes and sends an error
report to MS. I've been sending the reports hoping that
MS has/will be fixing this problem. I've looked through
the MS FAQs and saw something on writing programs to
allow "fast switch", but I don't know how to write
programs and hope that's not what it requires!! Any
ideas? thanks

Fast user switching is a great feature IF all of the programs you're using
are compatible with it. Check Event Viewer to see if it mentions what
program is bombing out. Otherwise, you'll need to experiment - using
MSCONFIG, disable all startup programs. Try Fast User Switching (FUS). If
successful, add a program back in. Test again. If successful, add another..
and so on until the switch doesn't work. The last item activated is not
compatible with FUS.
