I just got a new 'puter with XP. I've been using Win98 prior to this. When I
went to use messenger for the first time and tried to sign in I was directed
(I think) to sign in with a .net passport. Now when I open messenger there
is a "sign in as " option which goes right to the program
without a password. How can I "get rid" of this? There are more than 1 user
on my computer.

Thanks

Greetings,

To do this, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts
in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the left side of the screen,
under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that opens, click
the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click 'Remove'.
