I'm tearing my hair out.
I have set up two computers both running XP & WM4.7. One here in the US the
other in the UK.
The video & audio quality was OK, considering the UK end is a dialup. And
worked fine for many months, however something happend and now the video
coming from the UK is terrible.
US to UK is good in audio & video, but the picture received is black with
the occasional square of some vague image poping up.
The UK camera is OK, because the local PIP view is fine. I suspect its in
the video encoding.
What codec is being used for IM video, and are there any setting ( maybe in
the registry).
Is there a way to locally echo the compressed video to check ?
Is it possible the ISP has a very limited uplink that could cause this ?
Any clues on what I could check next would be most appreciated.
