Have you checked your mother board ? Is it RAID enabled ?
If it is, change the jumpers to disable (if you don't use
RAID).

Alternatively, have you uped the number of files ? This
can affect performance.

Hi,

Yes I have upped the number of files significantly, that is probably what is
slowing the operation down.

I do not have RAID on my mobo.
