Has he disabled the built in XP Firewall?
Go to www.meetingbywire.com and you will find how to use NetMeeting.

Thanks for this info. I will look into this detailed
explanatio. BUT, can you please give me a quick & easy
way to disable the XP Firewall so I don't have to read a
who manuscript. Also by disabling the Firewall what will
this do to the computer

Well, disabling the built in firewall will remove the protection it
provides, which is generaly thought not to be very good. You will need to
get another, such a Zone Alarm or other, there are several. How to
accomplish, 1. Go to Control Panel/Network Connections/Local Area
Connections/Properties/Advanced and then uncheck. You can see this by going
to the web page and clicking the XP part in the left panel.
