I have read and re-read this newsgroup and no matter what cannot get my
Linksys BEFSR41 router to work with Messenger 5.0. I have all the updates
and the latest firmware but still nothing.
Are there any alternative programs out there to hold video chat with another
person? Or, are there any other routers that are compatible with messenger?
Thanks..

You can use Yahoo Messenger. It solved all my brother's router/firewall
probs.
The video chat is a more powerful feature with that progream

I addressed a similar problem with a Linksys box by retiring it and
purchasing a Microsoft MN-100 box. While not perfect, it does
handle Windows Messenger better for me.

Yip, go with Yahoo Messenger. It surpasses Windows and MSN Messenger on
every front from what I can see. Microsoft really need to get their act
together with this product. It has the potential to be a class-leading
client but as it stands, it simply isnt up to the job.
