Hi - hope someone has some good ideas!?...
I have 2 PCs. One PC ("master") is connected directly to internet via
cablemodem, second PC ("slave") is connected to first PC via 100Mb LAN (i.e.
first PC acts as internet gateway and has two network cards).
I can hold video conference in Messenger 4.7 via the "master" PC without
problems.
However, although I can start a video conference via "slave" PC, the video
image (infact, the whole PC!) gets slower and slower until the PC becomes
unusable (after about 20 seconds). Interestingly, NetMeeting works fine.
The master PC has XP Firewall running on the network card for internet
connection, but there's no firewall on the LAN network cards.
I've tried running audio/video tuning wizard. Both PCs are running
WinXPPro fully up-to-date via Windows Update service, and both PCs use
exactly the same webcam.
Any suggestions what to try next?
Thanks in advance,
Alan
