Your computer stores the data on your hard drive in units called =
clusters. =20
Each cluster holds a minimum of 4 kilobytes of data. You can think of =
your =20
hard drive as a freezer filled with ice cube trays. The ice cube trays =
are clusters, =20
and the ice cubes are the sectors which make up each cluster.=20

CheckDisk checks your clusters for errors. If it finds even one bad =
sector in a cluster, =20
it marks the entire cluster as unusable. It can't read any of the data =
on the cluster, =20
and it can't write any data to the cluster.=20

To try and repair this problem, open MY COMPUTER, right-click on your =
drive
and select Properties > Tools > Error-Checking > Check Now and place =
checkmarks
in both Check Disk Options, click START and then reboot your computer.
