I have to use a dot matrix printer for pharmacy labels.
I had a template written in MS WORD 5 years ago that
allows me to fill in boxes (name, drug, instructions,
etc). Theres some fiixed info on every label like address
& federal warning, then the date field is automatically
the correct date. Worked great in Win 98 with Word 98.
I upgraded to WIN XP & Office XP. The date feature is
gone. More importantly, when I print a lable on an OKI
Microline 320 Turbo----it advances about 3 labels after
each one that prints. OKI assured me it's a software
problem and to demonstrate that fact they had me use
NOTEPAD and print something---it printed and stopped as
it should---no feeding....That points to the Word XP and
paper sizing, but I can't figure out how to change the
defaults. I'm using the same template (set at 2.75x2.75)
so why doesn't XP understand this? HELP----can't run a
business like this and I have no idea where my old copy
of word 98 is!!
