Hi there.
Trying to create a backup for XP.
Purchased "The complete Idiot's Guide to Windows XP" and,
going by them (on page 378) I can create a flopy disk
which will help me to restore.
However, I am supposed to launch "BACKUP", the Restore
Wizzard should appear and, with his help I could create
such disk.
To get to "BACKUP" I am told (in this book) to
start, all programs, Accessories, System tools and Backup.
However, my Toshiba laptop, about 12 months old does NOT
have a BACKUP choice on the pulldown menue.
Please, just were is that BACKUP?
Thanks

If you have XP Home its not installed by default.

HOW TO: Install Backup from the CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302894

If your computer came with a "recovery" CD or CD set then you may have this
option available, but it probably won't be in the same location. You may
have to contact Toshiba and ask them how to obtain the required file.
