Messenger got killed

Hi

I received a message that the new version of Windows
Messenger was available. I selected to Install it now. As
it was installing my PC spontaniously re-booted. Now
Messenger is gone and when my PC restarts I get a black
command prompt in it with the path to the .exe.

I have tried re-downloading Messenger from the site but
when it starts installing I get the spontanious re-boot
again.

Any ideas?
