View Full Version : Computer name and User name wrong!

Here is the problem. I built a computer for a friend, used his name (Robert)
during the installation process, registration etc. Before I could deliver
and set it up he told me to sell it to a mutual friend (Lee) now Lee's
computer says it belongs to Robert. How can I change the names without
uninstalling everything? TIA

Go into the registry and alter the RegisteredOwner key at
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
