Sometimes after logging on to Win XP Pro (I have 3
identities set up one for myself (administrator) and one
for my wife and child (limited) anyway, after logging in
sometimes all the printers I have installed seem to
disappear. It says there are no printers installed, yet
after restarting the computer they are all back. I have
a Lexmark X85 (USB), and 2 Canons (BJC-240 & BJ200ex).
Occasionally I get an error message when printing to the
Lexmark "Problem communicationg with the printer" (it's a
verbal error from the Lexmark printing program itself),
but a restart fixes that too. I usually leave the
computer running all the time (the wife doesn't like to
wait for it to startup and we like to have the slide show
as out screen saver), so haven't really tried "hibernate"
or "standby".
Do I need to check back here or does reply go to my e-
mail (preferred)?
