Hi, ive had problems with programmes crashing when Ive
tried to open or save a file. A dll error message
appeared several times. Im assuming uninstalling a few
programmes (which Ive done recently) caused the error.
I tried a system restore with no success. I did a
reinstall of xp (home ed) in the hope of repairing the
corrupt / missing files but about half way through xp
gave me the blue screen. It failed to copy about 6 dll's.

Since then saveing is generaly not a problem except from
internet explorer, however opening jpegs / tiffs in
Photoshop still crashes the program.

Any ideas ? I thought maybe the files were write
protected or something to account for the reinstall not
being able to copy in the files ?

Much apreciated.

If you can't reinstall, you need to try installing to a new folder. This site
will help move data and settings.
