Hi !

I have 2 computers connected in a home network setup,
sharing a single adsl internet connection. I sign in with
different accounts to messenger on both computers and
things work fine. Both computers share the same public IP
address but have a different private ip address. I have
no router and have norton internet security as a presonal
firewall installed on both computers and configured for
home networking.

However, every now and again a different computer gets
signed out with the message "you have been signed out
of .net passport service because you have signed in in a
different location". When i sign in again everything
works fine but then the problem occures again.

I would very much appreciate it if you could suggest
anyting.

Thanks a lot.

Gil

Greetings Gil,

There's absolutely nothing wrong with your setup, and Messenger shouldn't have much trouble
with it (file transfer, voice/video issues aside). There isn't any specific reason why this
should be happening -- are you sure that you haven't typed in your passport on someone elses
PC, and saved it there? You might just want to change your the passwords to your passport
accounts (here:
