I want to change Windows Explorer so that when I am viewing files in the
Detail View and I select a file it highlights the entire line, so the files
TYPE and SIZE and DATE would be highlighted not just the name of the file.

Open a command prompt to that window, and type DIR <filename>, then use the
system menu (alt-spacebar) to "Edit" then "Mark" and drag across that file data,
then system menu, edit, copy.

I don't want to cut and paste the file detail info, I want to be able to
have the entire line selected in windows explorer. When you select a file,
its name is highlighted so you can see which file is selected, but if your
WE window is very large it hard to see what that files date is because the
files date and time and size are not highlighted. If you have a lot of
files in that folder it hard to see which date belongs to the file that you
selected.
