I have WINXP PRO and WINDOWS messenger 4.7 (NOT MSN
messenger). I am trying to connect with a friend using
video conversation through Windows Mesenger 4.7 (he has
the same software setuo as me)...IT JUST WILL NOT Work.
We are both on home wireless networks going through
access point routers.

Now here is the funny thing...If I set up Windows
Messenger 4.7 to run in Windows2000 compatibility mode
and use Netmeeting instead...Video conferencing
WORKS!!!??? and we havent adjusted or changed any
network/firewall/NAT settings.

Why wont the "built in" video conferencing in Windows
Messenger 4.7 work? Please help..going nuts.

No one yet has figured out the thinking at Microsoft. Why the change is
still a mystery. So, just live with it until they get their act togather.
