Ethernet adapter, DHCPServer and DNSServer problems

Hi Guys,

I ran a systems check on my XP Pro and it found these
problems above in the subject, which are of course
causing the internet problems I am having.

Have checked for driver updates, all OK, just can't seem
to fix the problem.

The Modems and Network Adapters test just fails them, it
does not tell you how to fix them, if there is an
incompatibility problem, I do not know how to fix it.

The cable internet connection I use, fails about once a
day, have checked the cable and the modem with my
supplier and they say it is my computer, it does seem
that it is, can any one offer any help.

Do you have a firewall installed (the XP one may be installed without you
knowing)? It sounds a bit like DHCP and DNS failure, possibly at the point
where your ISP lease renewal occurs.
