When I try to configure the sound on th eAudio Tuning
Wizard netmeeting freezes and I even have to restart the
computer!
It used to work, but after a few minutes Netmeeting would
freeze too, having to restart the machine.
This only happened when i used my webcam (logitech
quickcam express). When i wasnt using it, i could see and
hear the other person great.
But Now i just cant use netmeeting and i would like to
fix it.
The same happens when i use Windows Mesenger with another
XP user. After a few minutes of chatting and video the
computer freezes.
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a old computer???, It would appear that you have some real
driver problems with the video. The Logitech work or all versions of
NetMeeting and Windows Messenger.

I was not aware that Compaq had a service center where one could send their
computers for service/repair. However, I would suggest that you contact one
of the local, highly reputable, repair shops or such and have then check out
the video card and/or drivers.

In my country (Uruguay) compaw does have this service
center, and you can pay to have it repaired.
But i already sent it there and they said nothing was
wrong with my computer except that netmeeting didnt work,
and that many XP users had the same problem. I dont think
they know what they were talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!! What
can I do. I know i dont have problem with th evideo card
because i can see other people, and i can see videos of
news and stuff, but i just cant use netmeeting!

Have you downloaded and installed the latest software drivers for your sound
card and camera on your computer/operating system?
From your description it sounds like there is a flaw in those devices.

Windows XP came with the computer, therefore so did

So likely the cause is the audio card software drivers -- you say the
computer it is a Compaq - www.compaq.com would be the place to start unless
you know the sound card maker.
If you already have the latest sound card driver -- I don't know what to
suggest.
