Remote Assistance

Donna:

I am having exactly the same problem. I posted a message
on this site last night, but have gotten no response.
Today I called my cable provider and searched Microsoft
and both of them indicate that it is one of two things:

1. One of the computers may have a firewall installed or
2. You need to get the latest update from AOL that is
compatible with Windows XP messenger and remote assistance.

I sent an email to AOL to get their bent on it, and am
waiting for a response. If I get it resolved, I'll let
you know what happened.

To see the Microsoft explanation - hit the search tab of
Microsoft Product Support Services (should be on this page
right now). Type 323565 in the "search for" box and
check "Article ID" under "search type".
