sound card driver

Just installed xp.Everything appears a ok but I had to
take out soundcard drivers als 4000, not compatible with
xp.I"ve downloaded suggested drivers but of no avail.Buy a
pint to anyone who gets my sound back. cheers!!

You don't say what driver version you installed, but there are XP drivers
for your card at the Realtek site.
