Your drive is now partitioned, which is a good thing.
You loaded Windows on the C drive and the D drive is
extended. If anything it should be running faster.
If you still don't want the partitions reinstall Windows
and pay close attention to all the prompts. You should
have the option to reformat drive without any partitions.
