Messager serviice annoying pop up ads!

New with computer so just wanted to make sure you got my
problem with messager service ads popping up all the time
on my computer - one just popped up now while I was
typing this. PLEASE advise me or handle this for me that
they stop coming on screen - Thank You AOL stopped all
the pop up ads and now I have these pop ups to contend
with = PLEASE help me with this situation. THANK You

To Disable the Messenger Service (this is different from Windows Messenger,
the IM client):
Start/Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, click Services.
Go down to "Messenger".
Right click "Messenger" and select Properties.
Then under Start-up select DISABLE
Click OK and follow prompts

I had this problem too and followed your advice. My
question is why all of a sudden it started doing this? It
has vever done this before until a few days ago?
